“How long will it take?”
I get asked this question a lot. Especially since I am an hourly graphic + web designer rather than a per project set price. The amount of time it normally takes to build a graphic or website, really depends on how many resources your graphic or website will contain.
What Are Resources?
- Images
- Text/Content
- Forms
The more resources you include, the more elements a graphic/web designer needs to style.
Design & Development Time Frame
Based on the design meeting, the design of the homepage can take anywhere from 8-10+ hours, which includes the header, content, and footer. The design of inner pages can take from 1-2 hours per page depending on the amount of content, particularly if it’s a custom design. If additional changes to the content are requested after the initial design, additional time will be added. To minimize delays, it’s advisable to have your content ready when you hand it over to the web designer.
Please note that this is an approximate time range and may not be exact. Every client’s project is unique and requires proper design and structure. It’s important to keep in mind that the web designer may have prior commitments and may not be able to start on your project immediately.
